Mrs. Taylor spent twelve years in the classroom as a first, third, and fourth-grade teacher prior to becoming an assistant principal at MES. She is a proud "triple Duke," having attended James Madison University for her bachelor's, master's, and administration degrees. (Go, DUKES!)
She currently lives "in the sticks" of Goochland with her husband and two three-legged rescue dogs named Sugar and Chimichanga. When not coordinating chaos at school, you can usually find Mrs. Taylor reading, doing a home DIY project or craft, tending to her dozens of plants and garden, traveling the world, or porch sitting at home with her dogs.
Mrs. Taylor's educational motto is "love them first, teach them second." She is honored to serve the Mechanicsville Elementary School students, families, and staff, and remains dedicated to supporting each child’s journey with love and C.A.R.E.
